Is this for primary school parents too?
Yes. Every letter, event and guide is written to work at any stage, reception to sixth form, and primary examples are always included. The system changes as your child grows. The approach doesn't.
Is Dear Parents and Carers against schools?
No, and that's the whole point. This is a bridge, not a battle line. It's built by someone who has spent her career inside the school system, and schools and trusts book us for training. Understanding the system and undermining it are very different things.
What happens in the free 15-minute chat?
You bring the one thing that's on your mind. A report you can't read, a meeting you're dreading, a decision you keep circling. Kay listens, explains what's actually happening, and leaves you with a next step. No charge, no obligation, no judgement.
What does the newsletter cost?
Nothing. It lands every other Sunday and takes about five minutes to read. The Inner Circle membership exists for families who want to go deeper, but the letters stay free.
Do you work with schools directly?
Yes. Workshops for leaders on the systems worth having in place for parent engagement, and consultation on your parent engagement framework and policies. Sessions fit INSET days, twilights, half days and full days, in person or online. The first conversation is a discovery call, not a pitch.
We're not a school. Can we still book Kay?
Yes. Churches, community groups, charities, employers and brands that work with schools and parents can book workshops and masterclasses on SEND, behaviour, curriculum, assessment and key transitions. Kay also speaks at luncheons, gives keynotes and joins panels. Email info@dearparentsandcarers.com with what you have in mind.
Can my church or community group host something with Kay?
Very likely, yes. We've worked with churches and community groups across London, Exeter and Bristol. Email info@dearparentsandcarers.com with what you have in mind and some possible dates.
