1. About us and these terms
Dear Parents and Carers is a trading name of Rose Green Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a UK education platform founded by Ms Kay Green, providing newsletters, consultations, live events, workshops and guides for families and schools. By using dearparentsandcarers.com or any of our services, you agree to these terms. Contact: info@dearparentsandcarers.com.
2. Our content
Everything on this site, and in our newsletters, guides and sessions, is general educational information. It reflects genuine professional experience of the school system, but it is not formal legal, medical or school-specific advice, and it is not a substitute for speaking with your child's school about their individual circumstances. Decisions about your child remain yours.
3. The newsletter and community
The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. If you share our free content, we ask only that you credit Dear Parents and Carers.
4. Consultations
The free introductory chat is an informal conversation, offered without obligation. Booked calls can be rescheduled or cancelled through the booking link; we ask for reasonable notice, and we'll give the same in return.
5. Events
- Tickets are sold through our official ticketing partner and are valid only for the event, date and ticket type stated at purchase.
- All tickets are strictly non-refundable. This includes change of mind, inability to attend, and changes to your circumstances. If an event is rescheduled, your ticket remains valid for the new date.
- The only exception is if we cancel an event outright and do not reschedule it, in which case ticket holders will be refunded the face value of the ticket. No other refunds are given in any circumstances.
- Where a venue is confirmed after booking, it will be shared with ticket holders by email before the event.
- We may make reasonable changes to an event's schedule, running order or contributors; changes of this kind don't qualify for a refund unless the event is cancelled in full.
- Parts of our events may be photographed or filmed for our marketing and social media. By attending, you consent to potentially appearing in that content, including in the background. Tell us at the event if you'd prefer not to be featured and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
- We want every event to be a safe and respectful space, and we reserve the right to refuse entry or ask anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe way to leave, without refund.
- If you have accessibility requirements, email us in advance and we will do everything reasonable to support you.
- We are not responsible for personal belongings, or for travel and accommodation costs if an event changes or is cancelled. Our total liability in connection with any event is limited to the face value of your ticket. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, transport failure, illness of contributors, venue failure or government action. In such cases we will do what we reasonably can to reschedule or refund.
6. Guides and digital products
Paid guides, ebooks and toolkits are for your personal use, or your organisation's internal use, and may not be resold or redistributed. By purchasing a digital product you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that this waives the usual cancellation period, so purchases are non-refundable. If a download is faulty, email us and we'll put it right.
7. Membership
When membership opens, it will be billed at the price and interval shown when you join. You can cancel at any time and your membership will run to the end of the period you've paid for. Member benefits may evolve over time; if we make a significant change, we'll tell members in advance.
8. Intellectual property
The content, design and materials on this site, and in our newsletters and guides, belong to Dear Parents and Carers. Partner logos and third-party content belong to their respective owners and appear with permission.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this website, attempt to disrupt it, or use our content or services for unlawful purposes.
10. Liability
We take care to keep everything on this site accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it's free of errors, and we aren't liable for decisions made on the basis of general information provided here, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
