The mission

A bridge, not a battle line.

Dear Parents and Carers, founded by Ms Kay Green, helps families understand and navigate the school system, and helps schools work better with the families they serve. Through fortnightly newsletters, consultations, live events and workshops, it gives parents the things they need to know, that no one told them, they needed to know.

Ms Kay Green · Founder

Kay is a teacher and school leader who has spent her career inside the school system, from the classroom to whole-school development. She has worked with over 600 parents across London, Exeter and Bristol, alongside churches and community groups.

She started Dear Parents and Carers after watching good parents struggle with a system nobody had explained to them, not because schools are the enemy, but because nobody had built the bridge. She's building it, from inside the school system, for everyone standing on either side of it.

Built with the people around the child.

Parents and schools are two sides of the bridge, but they're not the only ones on it. We work with sponsors, churches, community organisations, school leaders and stakeholders who want families to be better served.
